Can the camera see inside my septic tank? We usually open the tank to look inside. The camera is best for the pipes going in and out.

 

Do I need to be home? It helps if you can be, so we can run water and show you what we see.

 

Will you have to dig? Not always. Many times the camera tells us the problem can be fixed by cleaning the line.

• Put a few drops of food coloring in the toilet tank. If color shows up in the bowl without flushing, the flapper is leaking.

• Walk the yard and look for wet spots that do not dry out.

How We Track Down a Leak

 

First, we ask what you have noticed and check the water meter with everything turned off. If the meter moves, we know water is going somewhere. Then we narrow it down. Is the leak inside the house or in the line out to the street or well? Is it in a supply line or a drain line? We use listening tools, a camera and simple tests to find the spot. Once we find it, we show you where it is and explain how we can fix it.
